Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and administer standardized tools to determine client needs and evaluate mental health status. Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions such as CBT and DBT to address psychological disorders and facilitate behavioral changes. Provide individual, family, and group therapy while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and insurance regulations. Respond promptly to crises including suicidal ideation and domestic violence, providing risk assessment and safety planning. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, case managers, and external agencies to ensure continuity of services and advocate for client rights within the healthcare system.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Active and unrestricted California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC or active AMFT, ACSW, or APCC registration
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience providing mental health services in an outpatient, community mental health, or similar clinical setting
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation
  • Strong knowledge of California mental health laws, Medi-Cal billing requirements, and the diagnostic and statistical manual criteria
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques of psychotherapy and counseling
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with diverse populations
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of conduct

  • Experience working with underserved populations, including Medi-Cal recipients, at-risk individuals, and those with severe mental illness
