Licensed Optician - Store Manager

Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of Vista Optical store located on military exchanges, ensuring top-tier customer service and a positive experience for customers and associates. Drive profit, sales, and performance against budget, supervise and train store associates and doctors, manage hiring, promotions, inventory, and visual merchandising, and communicate performance data to District Manager and corporate. Maintain state-required licensure, ABO and NCLE certifications, and proficient computer skills to support store metrics. Foster professional relations with doctors and other National Vision colleagues, and implement promotions and advertising to attract customers. This role emphasizes retail and optical industry management, staff development, and ensuring regulatory and operational standards are met, with emphasis on an in-person, Tampa-based operation.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain license as required by state
- ABO & NCLE Certification
- Proficient computer skills
- Management experience in retail and/or optical industry
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
