Job Summary
Deliver exceptional client experiences by guiding customers through frame and lens selections, performing precise measurements and fittings, and troubleshooting prescription issues. Cultivate long-term relationships through personalized service, act as a liaison with optometrists, and maintain visual presentation and inventory accuracy across the sales floor. Train and mentor team members to elevate performance standards while adhering to strict privacy laws and optical compliance. Engage clients with expertise in the latest optical innovations and fashion trends to drive sales. This role requires active ABO certification, a Hawaii dispensing license, and 2+ years of luxury retail experience. Weekly pay starts at $35/hour with bonus potential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current, active American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification
- State optician licensure
- Active Hawaii Dispensing Optician License
- Ability to produce and display credentials in a conspicuous location on-site
- 2+ years of sales experience in luxury retail or premium service environments
- Strong knowledge of optical theory, practices, and latest technologies
- Proven ability to build and maintain a loyal client base
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Proficiency with digital tools and retail systems
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation
- Ability to work comfortably with a variety of lighting conditions, including occasional flashing or contrasting light patterns
