Job Summary
Verify order data entry and compare prescriptions to original doctor orders, ensuring all system information is accurate. Complete proper order filing procedures under the correct ABC system and deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone. Take measurements, read prescriptions on the lensometer, and timely notify product readiness while advancing orders through received, notified, and dispense stages. Provide support with eyeglass adjustments and repairs, assist with opening and closing procedures, and ensure accurate funds are collected at the point of service. Maintain visible accurate signage, clean and organized displays, and adhere to all privacy policies including HIPAA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active
- Open shift availability required for full time positions
- At least 18 years of age
- Frequently requires lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 20 pounds with assistance
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred
- High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, and/or optical experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and an attention to detail required
