Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations, including personnel management, inventory control, and monitoring retail operating costs to achieve profit and sales goals. Optimize the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance while ensuring effective merchandising and execution of marketing initiatives. Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates, leading them toward sales targets and coaching on customer service standards. Assist with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, and retaining high-caliber team members while mentoring potential Apprentice Opticians. Maintain an active Optical license and ABO/NCLE certification to ensure quality standards are met. Work a schedule that includes Sundays off, with competitive pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, and parental leave.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain Optical license as required by the state
- Optical sales experience
- Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships
- Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals
- Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope
- ABO and NCLE Certified

- Supervising experience is preferred
