Job Summary
Deliver occupational therapy services to children individually and in groups, utilizing push-in and pull-out models to address physical, cognitive, communication, and sensory development. Conduct comprehensive assessments and fine motor skills evaluations while ensuring all services align with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). Manage documentation by completing session notes, progress reports, and evaluations within the EasyTrac Database System and TEAMS, and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants when applicable. Provide consultation to teachers, peers, and parents, and participate in team meetings and intake activities. Maintain compliance with New York State licensure and billing codes.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. Occupational Therapy Degree
- School accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
- NYS License in Occupational Therapy
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT Certification)
- Experience working with children presenting a wide range of communication disorders
