Job Summary

Experienced healthcare leader sought to drive operational excellence at a skilled nursing facility as Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (Short-Term Unit). Lead overall facility management including clinical, financial, and operational functions; ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations; develop and enforce policies and procedures; maintain staffing optimization and performance management; oversee daily operations to achieve high-quality, resident-centered care; spearhead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives; manage budgets and resources for long-term sustainability; collaborate with physicians and department heads to ensure coordinated services and effective communication; foster a safe, compliant, and engaging environment for residents and staff; represent the facility to residents, families, regulatory agencies, and the community; participate in strategic planning and organizational improvement efforts. The role requires licensure as an NHA in Connecticut (or eligibility), a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Healthcare/Business Administration), completion of an Administrator-in-Training program, and 2–5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, with strong knowledge of federal/state regulations, budgeting, staffing, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, valid Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of Connecticut (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Completion of a state-approved Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program and successful completion of required licensure examinations, as applicable
  • Minimum of 2–5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting; prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility operations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory compliance
