Job Summary
Directs the day-to-day functions of a nursing facility as the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), ensuring compliance with federal and local standards and regulations to provide the highest quality of resident care. The role includes planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing facility programs; assisting department directors with policies, procedures, and professional standards; supervising staff and recruitment; enforcing safety, resident rights, and regulatory compliance; coordinating in-service and on-the-job training; reviewing financial statements; reporting concerns to the governing board; and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth and calm throughout the facility. A Bachelor 1s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or a health-related degree is preferred, and an active nursing home administrator license is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor 1s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health related degree is preferred
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator
- 2 years experience in a Supervisor role, healthcare experience preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration
- Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action
- Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports etc.
- Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies
