Job Summary

Perform non-invasive resident treatments, administer medications including narcotics, and supervise residents self-administering drugs while maintaining accurate medication accounts. Assess resident needs, evaluate care responses, and document nursing processes through charting by exception. Observe residents for safety changes, respond to door/window alarms to deter elopement, and supervise on-shift caregivers. Maintain the nurse's medication cart, utilize resident lifts, and carry an earpiece and radio for shift communication. Follow standards of nursing conduct, uphold resident rights, and manage conflicts with sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. Full-time and part-time shifts available; drug screening and background checks required.

Required Qualifications

Current registration as Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ), Licensed Vocational Nurse ( LVN ), or Registered Nurse ( RN ) in the State of California
Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
Must have ability to gain CPR/ First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to problem solve, resolve conflicts and make decisions with sound reasoning, good judgement and critical thinking skills
