Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment while troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues. Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, ensuring all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations are followed. Work in elevated areas and confined spaces, capable of lifting 50 lbs and operating in extreme temperatures. Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts. This hands-on role supports food production operations at Cargill's London facility, connecting farmers with markets through essential industrial products.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Valid Millwright License
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures
- Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Welding certification or other trade experience
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with MRO/MRP systems
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance
