Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment while troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues. Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, adhering strictly to all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations. Work in elevated areas and confined spaces, capable of lifting 50 lbs and tolerating extreme temperatures. Maintain flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts, including 1st or 2nd shift availability. This hands-on role supports food production at Cargill's London facility, where the team connects farmers with markets to nourish the world sustainably.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Valid Millwright License
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures
- Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Welding certification or other trade experience
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with MRO/MRP systems
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance
