Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues while operating motorized vehicles. Adhere strictly to safety, food safety, and environmental regulations during all tasks. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, handling duties that include lifting 50 lbs, working in extreme temperatures, and operating in elevated or confined spaces. This role requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts. Valid Millwright License and Canadian work authorization are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Valid Millwright License
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures
- Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Welding certification or other trade experience
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with MRO/MRP systems
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance
