Job Summary
Complete work orders and general preventative maintenance on all machines, identifying and troubleshooting irregularities while installing, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic components. Plan proposed work during shutdowns, manage inventory, and perform machine commissioning. Adhere strictly to safety rules, observe blueprints and schematics, and execute 5S tasks. Communicate effectively with team members and the maintenance supervisor. This role requires a Provincial Millwright (433A) licence, apprenticeship certificate, and crane/forklift training. The position involves continental rotating 12-hour shifts at JFE Shoji Power Canada's Burlington facility, offering a competitive hourly rate plus shift premiums and production bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Provincial licence required for Industrial Mechanical/Millwright (433A)
- Certificate of Apprenticeship issued by Skilled Trades Ontario
- Continental rotating shift (12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights)
- Crane training licence
- Forklift training licence
- Elevated work platform training licence
- Confined space training licence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great attendance
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
- Mechanically inclined
