Job Summary
Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant by performing PMs, PDMs, CM, and regular work orders on conveyors, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, and hydraulic systems. Repair and troubleshoot industrial machinery including fans, blowers, and packaging equipment while complying with all safety regulations and GMP rules. Account for inventory and labor on a computerized maintenance program and apply corrective actions based on oral or printed work requests. Afternoon shifts run Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm with flexible end times based on production. This role requires proficiency as a TIG welder, full knowledge of hand and power tools, and the ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted in a fast-paced pork processing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright
- Must comply with all safety regulations
- Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
- Perform PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work load
- Proficient TIG welder
- Proficient at repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a team type environment
- Full knowledge of hand and power tools
- Installation of equipment
- Follow GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules
- Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
- Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
- Must have a 433A
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to communicate and understand English
- Must have their own tools
- Must have experience as a Millwright
