Job Summary
Lead Licensed Mental Health Therapist role focusing on outpatient individual and family therapy with culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments; develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans; participate in case consultations, discharge planning, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team; responsibilities include timely billing and documentation, insurance authorization, and contributing to program growth within Columbia Mental Health under Transformations Care Network. Requires master’s or doctoral degree and active Virginia or Maryland licensure (or eligibility), with ongoing professional development, and a commitment to ethical practice and client-centered care. The compensation range is provided per billable unit with eligibility influenced by licensure and market factors; comprehensive benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
- Current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or eligible for licensure by time of hire
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
