Job Summary
Provide outpatient individual and family therapy; conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families; develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans; participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning; ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and fellow therapists) to deliver holistic mental health care; join Columbia Mental Health within Transformations Care Network with a focus on professional development, supervision opportunities, and a supportive clinical environment; base compensation range is provided per billable unit with emphasis on licensure and experience; Alexandria, VA-based, in-person role.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
- Must hold a current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or be eligible for licensure by the time of hire
- Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development in mental health including continuing education
- Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently
