Job Summary
Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, and provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on unique needs. Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans to support stable functioning. Actively participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning while ensuring timely completion of billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms. Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and administrative staff to deliver holistic mental health care.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Must hold a current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or be eligible for licensure by the time of hire.
- Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development in mental health including continuing education.
- Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
