Job Summary
Conduct remote psychotherapy for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders, primarily serving patients referred from opioid treatment programs. Assess and diagnose clients using DSM 5 TR and ASAM criteria, then prepare individualized treatment plans with patient input and relevant provider consultation. Deliver diagnostic, treatment, referral, and crisis intervention services while maintaining comprehensive electronic medical records. Coordinate care through interdisciplinary case conferences and risk assessments, and provide clinical supervision to unlicensed therapists and interns as required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited university or institution of higher learning in counseling, clinical social work or psychology that focuses on clinical practice
- Current, valid, and unrestricted license in the State of Washington
- 3 years of experience in psychotherapy
- at least one year delivering telehealth services using appropriate remote tools to virtually connect with patients
- Must be licensed in Washington State
- Must be available for travel up to 10% within the US
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex clinical information effectively to patients, families, and professional colleagues
- Possesses a patient-centric focus and approach, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and the ability to build therapeutic relationships with diverse populations
- Ability to use analytical, logical, and creative problem-solving techniques to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic medical records, ensuring secure and efficient communication and documentation
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations effectively, including risk assessments and emergency interventions with the collaboration of the clinic partner
- Commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated on best practices and emerging research in clinical psychology and telehealth treatment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet documentation deadlines
- Close vision is required for computer work
