Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) sought in Northern New Jersey for part-time in-home and center-based therapy with youth. Provide individual and group therapy, Telehealth, and center sessions; perform bio-psycho-social assessments when possible; support coping, social skills, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; complete documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes); attend monthly meetings and maintain clinical documentation; willing to train for bio-psycho-social assessments. Must hold a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW/LAC/LFT), have trauma counseling training, crisis intervention training, post-internship field experience with youth, proficiency with CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma approaches, DSM-V knowledge; valid NJ driver’s license; able to work 6-10 hours weekly after-school (12–8pm); caseload 2–3; authorized to work in U.S. without visa sponsorship; compensation $60-$75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
- Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knows how to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12noon through 8pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience providing positive behavior supports.
- Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
