Job Summary
Provide individual in-home therapy and telehealth for youth with mental health disorders in Southern New Jersey, including bio-psycho-social assessments, coping skills, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, complete intake/treatment plans and notes, attend monthly meetings, and be willing to train for assessments. Requires a master's degree in a related field, state licensure or eligibility (LSW/LAC/LFT), trauma counseling training, crisis intervention training, valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, and ability to work 6-10 hours weekly after school (12pm-8pm) with a 2–3 client caseload; positions include in-home and telehealth services with compensation of $60-$75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training (or willingness to complete)
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders and clinical experience
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed care
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Available for minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12pm-8pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Resume plus copies of master’s degree and NJ license/certification
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (H-1B sponsorship not available)
- State reciprocity considered, within 25–30 minutes of service areas
