Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) for in-home and center-based therapy serving youth in Northern New Jersey. Part-time role with after-school hours (12:00–20:00) and potential weekend flexibility. Provide individual in-home therapy, group therapy, Telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; conduct bio-psycho-social assessments; support coping, social skills, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; complete intake/docs (treatment plans, DAP notes); participate in monthly meetings. Requires a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields and training in trauma counseling; proficient in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-focused approaches; able to work with youth aged 3–20 and related IDD considerations; valid NJ driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug screen. Spanish-speaking female candidates are specifically requested; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; compensation $60–$75 per hour; provides benefits and professional growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knows how to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12noon through 8pm
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience providing positive behavior supports
- Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
