Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Spanish-Speaking Female Needed in Essex County

Job Summary
Provide in-home and center-based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders in Northern New Jersey, including individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments when needed; provide coping skills, social skills, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression. Aim to improve youth and caretaker decision-making for in-home behavioral challenges. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals; submit required documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes) within designated time frames; attend monthly meetings and maintain mandatory clinical documentation. Must be willing to train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments and work 6-10 hours per week after-school (12pm–8pm), with weekend flexibility a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knows how to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12noon through 8pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience providing positive behavior supports
- Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License
