Job Summary

Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Portuguese-Speaking, Female) needed in Northern New Jersey to provide Part-time in-home and center-based therapy for youth. Responsibilities include individual in-home therapy, group and telehealth sessions, outpatient center services, bios-psycho-social assessments (training available), coping and social skills work, anger management, reducing risk behaviors, collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, and timely clinical documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes). Requires a master's degree in a related field, clinical trauma training, Crisis Intervention training (or willingness to complete), experience with CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/trauma-focused approaches, DSM-V knowledge, NJ driver’s license, and ability to maintain a 2–3 client caseload with 6–10 hours per week after-school, with weekend flexibility a plus. State of New Jersey authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship is required; no H-1B sponsorship. Compensation: $60-$75 per hour. Locations include Elizabeth, NJ.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
  • Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
  • Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
  • Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
  • Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, initial assessments
  • Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
  • Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks
  • Pre-employment drug screen
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
  • Willingness to work 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12 noon–8 pm); weekend flexibility a plus
  • Within 25–30 minutes of service areas
  • Bilingual Portuguese-speaking preferred
  • Ability to provide in-home and center-based therapeutic services
  • Experience with bio-psycho-social assessments (training or completion)
  • Experience with documentation and administrative tasks (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes)
