Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Northern New Jersey needed to provide in-home and center-based therapy for youth with mental health disorders. Deliver individual and group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; perform bio-psycho-social assessments; apply CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT and trauma-informed approaches; support coping, social skills, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; complete intake, treatment plans, and clinical notes; must have a master’s degree in a related field and relevant clinical training; availability 6-10 hours/week after-school (12pm–8pm) with 2–3 client caseload; drive to service areas in NJ; permissive to work within East Orange and surrounding areas; compensation: $60–$75/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to train
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state/federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Within 25–30 minutes of service areas
- Minimum 6-10 hours per week after-school availability
- Caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
