Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Somerset County

Job Summary
Provide individual in-home and telehealth therapy to youth with mental health disorders in New Jersey, including ages 3–20. Deliver bio-psycho-social assessments when possible, develop and implement coping, social skills, anger management, and risk-reduction strategies, and support decision-making for caretakers. Conduct weekly in-home therapy and telehealth sessions, document intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other required clinical paperwork; attend monthly meetings and maintain timely documentation. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals; maintain a caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff and be available for 6–10 hours per week after-school (12pm–8pm) with some weekend flexibility. Requires a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields, clinical mental health trauma training, crisis intervention training or willingness to complete, and experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma-focused approaches. Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license, pass background checks, and be authorized to work in the U.S. without H-1B sponsorship; within 25–30 minutes of service areas. Compensation: $60-$75 per hour. Benefits include PTO, sick time, health coverage, 401K, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, trauma response
- Familiarity with DSM-V assessments and diagnosis
- Available 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours 12noon-8pm
- Caseload minimum 2-3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with youth ages 3-20 and I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Able to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- Within 25-30 minutes of service areas
