Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing in-home and telehealth therapy to youth throughout New Jersey, with a focus on individual in-home therapy, telehealth, and collaboration with treatment teams. Responsibilities include bio-psycho-social assessments (as needed), coping and social skills coaching, anger management, reducing risk behaviors, improving decision-making for youth and caretakers, documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes), and monthly meetings. Requires a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields, trauma and crisis intervention training, post-internship field experience with youth, experience with CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma, DSM-V usage, and ability to work 6-10 hours/week after-school (12:00–20:00) with a 2–3 client caseload. Must have NJ driver’s license, pass background checks, drug screen, and be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; location is Salem, NJ with in-home and telehealth service delivery and travel within service areas.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knows how to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12noon through 8pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience providing positive behavior supports.
- Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
- Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.
