Job Summary
Provide in-home and telehealth individual therapy to youth (ages 3-20) with mental health disorders across New Jersey, including after-school hours; perform bio-psycho-social assessments; deliver coping and social skills training, anger management, and reduction of self-injurious or aggressive behaviors; support decision-making for youth and caretakers; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; complete intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other required documentation; participate in monthly meetings; train for: bio-psycho-social assessments; utilize CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma-focused approaches; maintain caseload and scheduling; possess valid NJ driver's license and pass background checks; able to work part-time with in-home and telehealth modalities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-focused approaches
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
