Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing in-home and center-based therapy for youth in New Jersey. Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; bio-psycho-social assessments; coping, social-skills and anger-management support; reducing risky behaviors; improving decision-making for youth and caregivers; collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team; timely documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes); mandatory clinical documentation; training for assessments; after-school availability (12–8pm) with some weekend flexibility; minimum 2–3 client caseload; valid NJ license/credentials; able to work without visa sponsorship. Compensation: $60-$75 per hour. Locations include Morristown, NJ, with state-wide service area; remote work not indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Minimum 6-10 hours per week available during after-school hours 12noon-8pm; weekend flexibility a plus
- Caseload experience (2–3 clients for part-time)
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Resume and degree/license copies required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; no H-1B sponsorship
