Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist needed for part-time in-home and telehealth therapy for youth in Central New Jersey. Responsibilities include providing individual in-home therapy and telehealth, conducting bio-psycho-social assessments, delivering coping and social skills coaching, anger management, reducing risk behaviors, improving decision-making for youth and caregivers, collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team, completing intake/treatment plans and clinical notes, and attending monthly meetings. Requires a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields, clinical trauma training, crisis intervention training (or willingness to obtain), post-internship experience with youth, proficiency in CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma-focused approaches, DSM-V knowledge, valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, drug screening, and authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. Compensation: $60-$75/hour; benefits include PTO, sick time, health coverage, retirement plan options, and ongoing training. Required Qualifications
- Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for 6-10 hours per week after-school (12noon–8pm)
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children ages 3-20, I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- State reciprocity considered, proximity within 25–30 minutes of service areas
