Job Summary
Provide in-home and center-based therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders across New Jersey, including individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans; apply evidence-based approaches (CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT) and trauma-focused strategies; address coping, social skills, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals; maintain timely clinical documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes); participate in monthly meetings; career responsibilities include after-school availability (12 noon–8 pm) and maintaining a caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff; requires NJ licensure or licensure-eligible status and willingness to complete needed trainings. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment plans and progress notes
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks and drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
