Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing in-home and telehealth therapy to youth across New Jersey, with a focus on individual sessions, bio-psycho-social assessments, coping and social skills development, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors. Collaborates with the Child Family Treatment Team, completes intake and clinical documentation, and engages in ongoing treatment planning and progress notes. Requires a master's degree in a relevant field and NJ credentials, with after-school availability (12–8 pm) and a minimum 2–3 client caseload for part-time work; experience with CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma approaches and DSM-V usage is preferred. Remote telehealth option supported; in-home visits as needed; driving within NJ required. Must pass background checks and drug screen; visa sponsorship not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to train
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, Trauma Response
- Familiarity with DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12pm-8pm)
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience working with children ages 3-20 and those with I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Background checks (state and federal)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Reside within 25–30 minutes of service areas
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
