Job Summary
Provide individual In-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions for youth in New Jersey. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments as needed, and support coping, social skills, and anger management to reduce risk behaviors. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, and submit required documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes) within designated timeframes. Attend monthly meetings and maintain clinical documentation. Role requires after-school hours (12pm–8pm) with a part-time schedule (6–10 hours/week) and a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients. Requires a master's degree in related fields and relevant clinical training; licensed or eligible professionals (LSW/LAC/LFT) preferred. NJ driver’s license and background checks required. No visa sponsorship available; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12 noon–8 pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience with positive behavior supports; work with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
