Job Summary
Provide in-home and telehealth individual therapy sessions for youth with mental health disorders in New Jersey, including bio-psycho-social assessments when possible; apply counseling modalities such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches; develop and implement treatment plans and goals; maintain documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes); collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; submit required paperwork timely; manage a 2–3 client caseload for part-time status; require a NJ driver’s license, background checks, and a post-offer drug screen; after-school hours (12–8 pm) with potential weekend flexibility; open to travel for in-home services within NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Willingness/ability to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders and clinical experience
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12 noon - 8 pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience with positive behavior supports
- Must have experience working with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Submit resume and copies of master’s degree and NJ license/certification
