Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) needed for part-time, in-home and telehealth therapeutic services for youth across New Jersey. Responsibilities include providing individual in-home therapy and telehealth sessions, conducting bio-psycho-social assessments when trained, delivering coping and social-skills training, anger management, reducing risky behaviors, and supporting decision-making for youth and caregivers. Collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes), and mandatory clinical documentation; required to train for or complete Bio-Psycho-Social assessments. Qualifications include a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW/LAC/LFT), trauma-focused training, Crisis Intervention training (or willingness to complete), post-internship clinical experience with youth, proficiency in CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma-focused approaches, DSM-V knowledge, NJ driver’s license, successful background checks, and ability to work 6-10 hours weekly after school; compensation $60-$75/hour; telehealth and in-home service model; travel within NJ; no visa sponsorship; proximity within 25-30 minutes of service areas; full vaccine of compliance and documentation submissions.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training (training or willing to complete)
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Willingness to work 6-10 hours per week after-school hours (12pm-8pm) and maintain 2-3 client caseload
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children ages 3-20 and I/DD is a plus
- Willingness to submit resume and copies of master’s degree and NJ license/certification
- State reciprocity considerations; proximity within 25-30 minutes of service areas
