Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) needed in Southern New Jersey to provide in-home weekly therapy services for youth with mental health disorders. Responsibilities include in-home and telehealth individual therapy, biopsychosocial assessments, teaching coping/social skills, anger management, reducing risk behaviors, improving decision-making for youth and caregivers, coordinating with the Child Family Treatment Team, and completing required clinical documentation and intake-related tasks. Requires a master’s degree in a related field, training in trauma counseling, Crisis Intervention training or willingness to complete, NJ driver’s license, ability to work 6-10 hours/week after school (12pm–8pm), and 2–3 client caseload for part-time staff. Compensation: $60-$75 per hour; benefits include PTO, health coverage options, 401K, and ongoing training. Location: Cape May, NJ; in-home visits with possible telehealth. Sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12noon–8pm)
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience providing positive behavior supports
- Experience working with children ages 3-20, I/DD a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
