Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing in-home and telehealth therapy for youth in Southern New Jersey. Responsibilities include individual in-home therapy and telehealth sessions, bio-psycho-social assessments (training available), coping and social skills development, anger management, reducing risk behaviors (SIB/physical aggression), improving decision-making for youth and caretakers, collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team, submitting documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes), attending monthly meetings, and completing required clinical documentation. Qualifications include a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields; clinical trauma counseling training; crisis intervention training or willingness to complete; post-internship experience with youth; experience with treatment planning, progress notes, and assessments; familiarity with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma-focused approaches; DSM-V knowledge for assessments and diagnosis; valid NJ driver’s license; ability to work 6-10 hours weekly during after-school hours; U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship; proximity to service areas in New Jersey. Salary ranges from $60-$75 per hour, with benefits including PTO, sick time, health coverage options, and retirement plan, with consideration for full-time roles not in private practice due to conflicts of interest.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours 12noon–8pm; weekend flexibility a plus
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
