Job Summary
Under supervision, provide behavioral health screening, individual and group psychoeducation, and skills-based interventions for detainees referred by facility staff or identified through booking processes. Coordinate with custody and medical staff to monitor, assess, and manage behavioral health concerns, including therapeutic support for segregated and isolated detainees. Assist in the stabilization of at-risk detainees and ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and case management with county behavioral health services. Complete documentation for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement. Maintain records and demonstrate commitment to providing behavioral health support and training.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to practice independently
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board
