Job Summary
Provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified through booking or nursing services. Deliver individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions while monitoring and assessing therapeutic support for segregated and isolated individuals. Coordinate with custody and medical staff regarding the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns. Support county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees and facilitate continuity of care through discharge planning and case management. Complete documentation for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement under supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle to perform all assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to practice independently
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board
