Job Summary
Provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified through booking or nursing services. Deliver individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions under supervision. Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for referred detainees and coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning. Monitor and assess therapeutic support for segregated and isolated detainees while completing documentation for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement. Maintain records under supervision and demonstrate commitment to providing behavioral health support and training. Requires a Master's degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field, current licensure, and CPR certification. Full-time equivalent 12-hour day schedule on Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to practice independently
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board
