Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments through interviews, case history reviews, and observational techniques to determine treatment focus and therapeutic approach. Provide crisis management and short-term, solution-focused therapy, including therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services. Utilize DSM-5 criteria to evaluate patients and develop interdisciplinary treatment plans while collaborating with medical, clinical, and correctional staff. Document patient activities, treatment progress, and care plan adjustments. Adhere to federal, state, and local guidelines, maintaining compliance with continuous quality improvement and safety standards. Deliver clinical supervision to Resident LMHPs as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- A current, valid state(s) licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to practice in applicable role (i.e. CMA, LPN, RN, LMHP, etc.)
- A High School diploma or GED
- Active CPR/BLS certificate (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
Desired Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment
- Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the correctional setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment
