Job Summary
Conduct individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations for underserved patients while maintaining clinical documentation and treatment records. Provide mental health consultation to facility staff regarding psychiatric management and participate in staff meetings, training programs, and program development activities. Maintain accountability for services through the Quality Improvement program and adhere to 5150/5250 mechanics, Title 15, and BSCC Standards. Operate under supervision of a Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or Director.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university
- Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation
- LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board
- CPR certification
- Any other certifications (such as First Aid) required
