Job Summary
Licensed Mental Health Professional providing person-centered, trauma-informed therapy to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments (ASAM/family assessments as applicable), diagnosing per DSM, developing and reviewing individualized treatment plans, facilitating individual, group, family, and couples counseling, and thorough documentation in the EHR. Must adhere to DMH/HIPAA and agency policies, coordinate care with external providers and stakeholders, participate in team supervision and training, and maintain ongoing professional development (minimum 50 hours/year). Requires Master’s degree in a behavioral health field and Missouri licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) with 1-2 years of relevant experience; background check and drug screening. Proficiency in SUD treatment, ASAM criteria, DSM-5, motivational interviewing, CBT, trauma-informed care, and strong collaborative skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
- License: Must be licensed in the state of Missouri to provide services independently (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working with individuals with substance use disorders; co-occurring disorders preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
- Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Strong knowledge of SUD treatment, ASAM criteria, and DSM-5
- Ability to engage diverse participants respectfully; strong communication and documentation skills; proficient in EHRs
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing, CBT, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices
