Job Summary
Provide behavioral health screening for detainees referred by facility staff or identified through booking and nursing services. Deliver individual and group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions while assisting custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for referred individuals. Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care, discharge planning, and stabilization of at-risk detainees. Monitor therapeutic support for segregated and isolated detainees and complete documentation for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement. Maintain records under supervision and perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to practice independently
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board
