Job Summary
Senior Care Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time Licensed Mental Health Counselors to provide in-person psychotherapy to the geriatric population in subacute and skilled-nursing facilities across NJ, NY, PA, and MD. Key responsibilities include conducting individual and group psychotherapy, assessing and diagnosing emotional/behavioral conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, cognitive decline), developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, collaborating with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in our clinician-designed EMR. The role involves monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Requirements include an active, unrestricted LMHC license, strong English communication, basic EHR proficiency, organizational and regulatory-compliance skills, and the ability to provide in-person services within facilities (up to 45 minutes) with mobility to move between rooms. Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state applying for
- Effective oral and written communication in English
- Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes per session
- Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within facilities
