Job Summary
Conduct individual counseling sessions via secure video chat to assist clients in improving their mental health, facilitating discussions on emotions, life experiences, and relationships to foster insight and self-awareness. Act as a supportive advocate by helping clients define and pursue personal goals while performing comprehensive evaluations of mental health status to design and implement evidence-based treatment plans. Work with diverse adult and adolescent populations addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues, tailoring interventions to meet unique client needs. This fully remote role utilizes a state-of-the-art Counselor Portal for scheduling and client management, with administrative duties like billing handled by the team. Candidates must hold a California license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW with a Master's degree.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution
- A valid and unrestricted license to practice as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California
- A strong foundation in clinical evaluation, treatment planning, and diagnostic skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, demonstrating empathy and active listening skills
- Independently motivated with a comfortable home office environment that adheres to privacy regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with dual or multi-state certifications
- Previous experience managing a diverse caseload of clients, with a focus on individualized client care
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and methodologies relevant to mental health treatment
