Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Master's Degree or higher in the field of Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, or a related field
• •Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a mental health setting
• •Must be able to provide clinical supervision to clinical staff
• •Valid and active LMFT, LCSW, PhD or PsyD license issued by the State of California
• •Valid Driver's License with current California automobile insurance
• •Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
• •Valid Tuberculosis (TB) test and updated every four (4) years
• •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions primarily in English
• •Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication
• •Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• •Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
• •Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• •Ability to work with an acute psychotic population
• •Experience working with a culturally diverse population
• •Knowledge of cultural issues, values, & beliefs of the target population of adults w/ SMI, homelessness, co-occurring disorders, and criminogenic risks and needs
• •Clinical assessment of clients with severe mental illness
• •Knowledge of counseling theory
• •Knowledge of clinical care coordination principles
• •Knowledge of best practices
• •Knowledge of cultural and socio-economic issues relevant to providing appropriate rehabilitation and recovery services to special population groups, including Latino, African American, and LGBTQIA+ communities
• •Knowledge of human behavior and the social environment
• •Exercise sound, expert independent judgment within general policy guidelines
• •Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• •Ability to operate a computer using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications
• •Ability to operate standard office equipment
• •Must be able to walk, stand and sit for long periods
• •Must be able to talk or hear, in person and by telephone
• •Must be able to use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate a standard computer and office equipment
• •Must be able to reach with hands and arms
• •Must be able to crawl, climb and bend
• •Must be able to push and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
• •Must have close vision
• •Must have color vision
• •Must have the ability to adjust focus
• •Must be able to participate in on-call and weekend clinical rotation as required

• •Knowledge of Principles and practices of management and supervision, including fiscal management and contract compliance
• •Knowledge of Supervisory principles and practices
• •Knowledge of Counseling theory, principles and practices and consultation techniques
• •Knowledge of Cultural and socio-economic issues pertaining to delivery of professional services
• •Knowledge of Legal and ethical issues pertaining to delivery of professional services
• •Familiarity with community and agency resources to assist the mentally ill
• •Knowledge of Group dynamic theories
• •Knowledge of evidence based and emerging best practices
• •Knowledge of Normal and abnormal emotional growth and development patterns
• •Knowledge of Psychological and behavioral dysfunctions occurring in mental disorder or in social disorganization
• •Knowledge of Bio-psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery treatment modalities
• •Knowledge of Integrated Treatment and Care for individuals with co-occurring disorders
• •Knowledge of Diagnostic assessment and differential diagnosis using the (DSM) manual
• •Knowledge of Current trends and issues in the field of counseling and psychotherapy
• •Ability to Operate a computer, spreadsheet and database software applications and standard office equipment
• •Ability to Communicate effectively, both written and oral
• •Ability to Read and interpret data, information and documents
• •Ability to analyze and solve problems
• •Ability to Meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks
