Job Summary
Licensed Master Social Worker in Syracuse, NY to serve as Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator. Role involves surveillance and investigation of nursing homes (long-term care), reviewing allegations of abuse/neglect, preparing reports and Statements of Deficiencies, participating in emergency surveys, and aiding DOH/state monitoring. Requires MSW, LMSW, ability to travel, strong investigative and written communication skills, and SMQT eligibility within 12 months. Full-time with on-site travel and temp-to-perm opportunity; competitive benefits including NYS Paid Sick Leave, health insurance, and weekend/rotating shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Licensure: Current New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a medical facility, preferably a nursing home, required
- Two (2) years of experience performing nursing home surveillance activities, preferred
- Ability to travel to an on-site location
- Ability to obtain Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) certification within 12 months of employment
