Job Summary
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join Headway’s platform and launch or expand a private practice by accepting insurance. Must be fully licensed (LMFT, LMFTS, or LCMFT) at Master’s level or above with a valid NPI number and malpractice insurance. Position emphasizes credentialing across states, joining a nationwide insurance network, and using Headway’s built-in tools (EHR, scheduling, client messaging, documentation templates, assessments, CEUs) to see insured clients and receive bi-weekly payments. Headway supports providers by facilitating insurance credentialing, compliance resources, access to popular plans (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid), and higher reimbursement opportunities via the Headway network. Note: Headway currently cannot support mental health professionals who aren’t fully licensed.
Required Qualifications
- Fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LMFTS, or LCMFT) at Master’s level or above
- Valid NPI number
- Malpractice insurance
- State-by-state licensure eligibility
- Ability to launch or grow a private practice
- Willingness to credential with insurance networks (including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid)
