Job Summary
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to launch or expand a private practice through Headway, with credentialing in multiple states and the ability to start taking insurance quickly. This role supports providers by enabling in-network billing, built-in EHR features, scheduling, and secure client messaging, while offering dependable bi-weekly payments, CEUs, and access to Headway’s nationwide insurance network. Must hold an LMFT (or LMFTS/LCMFT) license, have a valid NPI, and malpractice insurance. The platform assists with credentialing and provides resources to stay compliant and grow a practice by partnering with major plans (including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid). Note: Headway cannot support mental health professionals who aren’t fully licensed at this time.
Required Qualifications
- Fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LMFTS, or LCMFT licensure) accepted on a state-by-state basis
- Master’s level or above with LMFT licensure
- valid NPI number
- malpractice insurance
- ability to launch private practice or grow an existing practice by taking insurance
- credentialing for free in multiple states within ~30 days
- must be fully licensed for eligibility to join Headway network
- experience with in-network insurance plans (Medicare Advantage and Medicaid) preferred
- ability to work with insurance networks and manage compliance
- ability to manage practice via built-in EHR features and client communications
