Job Summary
Install low voltage cabling, metallic and non-metallic conduit, and raceways according to the National Electric Code in residential and commercial settings. Program new alarm, security, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and audio/video equipment. Troubleshoot system issues, conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing, and train customers on system usage. Monitor inventory of service parts to keep the van stocked properly. Adhere to safety regulations and perform all duties in a neat, workmanlike manner while maintaining a clean driving record. Requires a valid CT low voltage electrical license (C5, C6, L5, L6) and proficiency in bending EMT. Starting pay is $35-$45.00 with a company vehicle and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT low voltage electrical license: C5, C6, L5, L6
- One of the following Connecticut low voltage electrical licenses: C5, C6, L5, L6, E2, E1
- Proven experience completing from start to finish security/fire alarm, access, CCTV, installation, maintenance, or other related lines of work
- Proficiency in installing (bending) emt
- Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50 lbs), climb ladders, work in challenging physical environments
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience pulling cable (efficiently), and drilling holes (not through finished floors though)
- Experience working with wireless technology (internet WiFi and alarm rf protocols)
- Clean driving record
